The Selectively Silent Child is an organization dedicated to raising awareness about childhood anxiety disorders, supporting those affected by Selective Mutism, and squashing the stigma associated with mental illness in Canada and around the world.
The Selectively Silent Child is run by Lin Gorenkoff (founder), Rebecca Esther (media representative and co-facilitator) and Sherri Fiorino (co-facilitator).
Lin Gorenkoff is an Early Childhood Educator and anxiety expert. More than anything else, she is passionate about advocating for children. Lin is mother of two children, one of whom used to be Selectively Mute.
Rebecca Esther is a freelance writer and mental health expert. She is a Selective Mutism survivor. She blogs at RebeccaEsther.com.
Sherri Fiorino parents a Selectively Mute son. She is an elementary school teacher who loves to help children learn and feel good about themselves.
